6 Things Your Barber Won't Tell You

Once you enter the salon, you will have to sit down, wait for a vacant seat and browse the ancestral issues of fashion magazines on the shelf. And when your name is called finally, you will be asked to sit at that chair while he pumps it up with his feet and maintain that position for minutes. All you can do is move your eyeballs and look at your barber through the mirrors.

The barber will then ask you what hair style you wish to have. Aside from that there will be no more talking again except if they ask you if the cut is ok. And what you don't know and not supposed to know are the thoughts running in his mind that he will never tell you.

Unwashed Hair Combs
Have you ever seen him wash those hair combs and brushes in the sink? No. And perhaps if you ask them that question, they will probably lie. Don't think that there is nothing wrong with unwashed hair combs because you could catch serious diseases and scalp problems if you are unlucky. You never know if the customer before you have dandruff or more serious conditions. But unfortunately, you can't do anything about it.

He doesn't know what you're talking about
As soon as you start talking loads of stuff to make him picture out your desired hair cut, it is possible that he doesn't know what the hell you are talking about. He may nod, smile and agree like he knows everything, but the truth is, he doesn't watch shows that you watch. Of course, they won't tell you they don't know coz it will disappoint you. What usually happens is they site other people's hairstyle and you were like "Uh-huh" even though you don't actually know what he is talking about. And there he goes, cutting your precious hair.

Grossed Out
There are many things to gross your barber out. It can be the foul smell of your hair because you did not take a bath for thinking that you're gonna do it after the haircut anyway and you consider yourself an environmentalist so you opted to save water. It can also be your visible dandruff flakes or your sticky unwashed hair. But these barbers are in a profession where they can't complain so don't be shy.

Oopsie Daisy!
Barbers are not perfect individuals. They are human being too and prone to error. But in this profession, perfection is very much demanded. But they get tired too. There are times that your barber does not tell you that he made a mistake cutting some part of your hair. Why would he tell you? It will only make you angry and you won't notice it anyway coz it's at the rear part.

Flesh Cut
Sometimes aside from cutting the wrong portion of the hair, they accidentally cut their own finger in the worst cases. You may have not noticed it because you are too busy posing demurely to your reflection. Yes, it is painful but professional barbers are used to it. And there really is no use in crying over spilled milk.

Blooded Blade
For the last final touches, the barber gets his blade and you stop yourself then start to cringe. There is a reason why you are cringing but the truth is if it ever happens, it would be hardly felt. You will know if you are wounded when he carefully wipes something in the shaved part with his index finger. It won't hurt until you wash yourself with soap. I am sure the barber did not do it on purpose but we don't know. Maybe he just wants it to make even because your stiff hair made him cut his finger.

Hayley and Her Hair

Every pop punk fan would picture a red-headed vocalist whenever talking about the multi-awarded Paramore. Who would forget the gorgeous Hayley Williams with her flaring red hair on their music video of Decode and Caught Myself? These became their instant jump to fame, being the original sound tracks of The Twilight Saga. And how about the striking yellow and orange fusion on Misery Business? With their fast fleet to the music industry and their chart-topping hits, Paramore has become really influential especially to the teenagers.

With the many hair color changes Hayley have had, ever wondered what her biological hair is?

In an interview, Hayley humorously answered that she couldn’t even remember. What other colors has she tried, you ask? Well, the truth is, Hayley was born with a blonde hair. But as she aged, her hair darkened and turned into dirty blonde or light brownish tint. So practically, without applying anything on, she had her first hair color change. It really happens to a number of people but kinda rare.

Toddler Hayley
It was at age 13, that she really started dying her hair. She wore her brunette-ish hair on their first major public appearance on the No Doubt Tour. Pressure, Paramore’s first music video featured Williams’ head-banging red head. Their music and the brightness of her hair color made a mark to the public viewers.

On 2005- 2006, her hair was Auburn and she added light colored ends for the second video, Emergency and decided having yellow bangs on Spring 2007.

Hayley added a layer of bright orange bangs on top for their next music video Misery Business and changed it to yellow blonde during the late Summer of that same year.

On Crushcrushcrush, she appeared with short banged red hair with a dyed yellow portion.

You’d say “ginger” if you saw Hayley Williams last Summer 2008, and cherry red when Fall came.

Eccentric it may be, but she did the purple-with-orange-full-bangs, too!

She had two color changes on Summer 2009, the one with the light yellow bangs and the solid orange.

The most decent one so far, which I think you can agree on was the bleach blonde some time on 2009 Fall as the Brick by Boring Brick premiered.

Not too long, she added blue highlights on her bangs.

But still, nothing beats Hayley’s favorite, orange! (and mine too!)

So during the Christmas vacation, she had her favorite color back. However, as Spring drew closer, her hair became faded orange.

Cinnamon red and glazed orange followed.

Obsessed with hair dying, Paramore did their music video for Playing God with her new pink short hair.

Before 2010 was over, she dyed them red-orange.

The band became a bit silent on the year 2011, as the Farro brothers backed out of Paramore. But this didn’t stop them nor the hair dying. Recently, we've seen her newest look from their Monster music video. This time, she also changed her hair texture to fizzy and tinted the roots yellow and red orange downward.

Fans can expect to see more variety of colors in the near future. Perhaps when they release their next album by this year if we are lucky.

10 Nicki Minaj Wigs and Hairstyles

Nicki Minaj, the top female rap icon of the pop culture is creating a trend with her colorful wigs. Some say she went with the Gaga look but she actually said her looks was inspired by a cartoon character instead.

"Never did I think I would be rocking the Marge Simpson, but you know what, now that I am wearing them I realize that she was cutting edge and before her time. So shout out to Marge!" Nicki said in an interview with People Magazine.

Aside from her articulate rapping and easily digestable lyrics, there is one more thing that keeps her stand out of the music industry is the fact that she is not afraid of colors.

So here are my Top 10 Nicki Minaj looks:
The Mad Hatter's Hair
10. Mad Hatter's Hair
Anybody who watched 2010's Alice in Wonderland will know the reason I coined its name. Starring Johnny Depp as the mad hatter have similar look with his hair exploding at both sides of his head but with a huge magician's hat on.

The two photos at the right look more of  Goldilocks' especially the one on top.
Weed Wig

9. Weed Wig
Nicki Minaj looks like a scorching tan mermaid  who just got out of the waters and accidentally got an uprooted seaweed on her head in this photo. Aside from that, she also brought a couple of perfectly-sculpted bombshells to give those human beings behind her a luscious treat. She also looks like Karylle of The Kitchen Musicale here.
Mandarin Wig

8. Mandarin Curls
This bitch in orange curls showed off her style during the BET Awards in 2010. She also wore this wig for the promotional pictures of her Young Money album.

Monochromes
7. Monochromes
I am not sure if these are wigs or dyed hair but I am sure these looks so good on her especially with her bronze complexion. The color stands out which makes her everywhere's eye candy. Her cotton candy hair in the right side is a cropped photo from her Pink Friday album cover.

Margie Simpson-inspired look

6. Nicki's inspiration
Who would have thought that Margie Simpson's hair would look awesome to a Hollywood celebrity music icon. The fans love it! Nicki seems to love it more because aside from those six above, there are more versions of it.

Ice Cream Twirlies

5. Ice Cream Twirlies
I wish I could touch her hair in this photo. I am so curious if it's her real hair showered with spraynet or just one of her absurd but cool wigs. If this ain't real, maybe it will fall under the head dress category rather than a wig.

Rainbow hues

4. Rainbow Hues
White hair from the scalp to top and colorfully tinted ends of every strands. This one is also popular. I guess this one is also one of her favorites.

Blue Locks

3. Blue Locks
Curly locks like of Goldilocks but with different saturations of color blue matches great for a monochrome outfit suiting her very blue stylish gloves ready for a music video shoot. Did I mention she looks like a modern day doll in this photo?

Braided Bandit

2. Braided Bandit
There is something in this photo that makes me think this style is Gaga-ish. Perhaps the pyramid-pointed top. I somehow don't get the simple design in Nicki's mouth mask. Anyhow, I love the braided do. It is simply one of her best hairstyles. The colors of carnation pink, golden yellow and cream strands make a perfect combination.

And for the top rank of my list...

The Wild Cheetah
1. The Wild Cheetah
Finally, my number one spot goes to her wonderful Cheetah hair. They say Nicki color her own hair for herself. That's impressive. The outcome is just so immaculate. I saw this look in her newest music video "Fly" which is currently topping the hit charts.

And that's it. That completes the set of my list.

Lady Gaga Unmasked

The fame monster must be known all over the world. Lady Gaga is the most influential pop artist of the generation. Even toddlers can recognize her when a lady with bizaare outfit and complicated make-up and hair do pops out of the screen. And have you noticed that she actually set a specific trend in the music industry? Ever observed the latest music videos of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry?

Lady Gaga and her heavily stylized look has become her trademark. She is indeed the icon of fame but have you ever wondered how she looks like without the wigs and tons of make-up on?

Natural Woman
One of her rare make-upless photos you can retrieve from the internet is this one on the left taken in a Hawaiian beach when Gaga and her rumored boyfriend named Speedy was caught by her Paparazzi. As you can see, she looks very different in this photo. I'd be impressed if the photographer who took this photo didn't stalk his way to Hawaii but simply recognized the pop star himself.

Teen Gaga
The girl in the right photo meanwhile is 19 year old Stefani Joane Angelica Germanotta aka Lady Gaga. She was just a simple brunette lady dining in an ordinary restaurant back before she hit the fame jackpot. This photo was taken from the season 3 episode 22 of MTV's reality show called Boiling Points in 2005. The photo clearly shows a fresh and make-upless face of the teenage Gaga.

One thing I can say, I like her better in brunette.
